Hosted by IGG, the Annual Jurried Student Art Show is the showcase of undergraduate Student work for the Art Deparmtnet.
This year’s show will be jurried by Rebecca Mazzei, Deputy Director at the Museuum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD).

2012 Annual Graduate Student Art Exhibition
Hosted annually, this all-media exhibition features the work of current MFA and MA students at EMU.
Open only to currently enrolled EMU Graduate art students, the application form is due Monday, Jan 30, 2010. The form may be downloaded for easy viewing in the below attachment.
E12 Call for Entries
Applicants must be over 18 years of age and reside within a 300-mile radius of Ypsilanti, Michigan. (See attached map for area). All Applicants must be recent graduates from an M.F.A. program (degree granted no earlier than 2010), or be currently enrolled in an MFA

Great Lakes Drawing Biennial
The Great Lakes Drawing Biennial (GLDB) is a contemporary works on paper show that is hosted every 2 years at Eastern Michigan University. Juried by Brain Barr, the 2012 GLDB will be open to artists 18 and older who are residents and/or currently working in Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, Indiana and Pennsylvania. New Fiber 2012
New Fiber 2012 is a national juried exhibition at the Eastern Michigan University Gallery inYpsilanti, Michigan, featuring contemporary fiber art in a broad range of forms. Works selected will include textiles rooted in traditional and contemporary approaches to fiber art. Open to artists utilizing all types of materials, sculpture, conceptual and installation art.
Juror – Susie Brandt
Baltimore based artist Susie Brandt has been progressively scouring the textile terrain since she sewed her first dress at age seven.
Since the mid-80’s her textile-based work has addressed the domestic and handmade, consumption and abundance, and relationships between textile and rural and urban landscapes.
Her studio work has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions – nationally and internationally. At the same time, she has worked on collaborative site oriented
installation projects with various artists including Betsy Brandt, Margo Mensing and Kristine Woods.
In 1984 she earned a BFA from Philadelphia College of Art and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1987.
