Co-curated by Profs. Amy Sacksteder and Jason DeMarte, Atmosphere examines the work of 14 artist projects whose work engages spaces and surroundings in an effort to create new conversation around space, its use, and its effect upon us. Artists included in the show straddle discussions of landscape and land use, interior and exterior spaces, mapping and location, site specificity, community and environmental needs, and metaphysical and surreal environs.

How can makers continue redefining craft in a society that is constantly fluctuating in technological advances? On November, 23, 2015,4:306:30 Ford Hall Gallery will serve as a platform for emerging artist that continue to push against the grain, remaining true to visual craft and organic processes. This exhibition will act as a call for the continued elevation of the maker’s movement, while navigating through a rapidly evolving society.
Hooplora, will bring together emerging artist that put emphasis on honesty, playfulness, organic thinking, and raw artistic practice. Through a range of mediums, including metals, photography, fibers, design and painting, the ideals of what it means to be a contemporary maker, is critically explored.
Featuring the work of graduating BFA candidates, this all-media show is organized, curated and installed entirely by the students in the Capstone class and serves to highlight their respective bodies of work.
