Voxtropolis—“city of voices”—is a global movement that showcases artists while
raising awareness and funding for non-profits. With locations in more than a dozen cities around the
world including Johannesburg, Edinburgh, Toronto, and Miami, the Ann Arbor culture pub will open on Sunday, March 30 from 7-9 PM at Babs’ Underground, 213 S. Ashley in downtown Ann Arbor.
The inaugural Ann Arbor event will feature the music of Betsy King, Vincent Colbert, Spencer Michaud, and Bill Clark & Friends. It will also showcase the visual artistry of Laurie Clark, Ilana Houten, Marty Lewis, Joan Newberry, Kirsten Sambrook, and Laura Wartel. Proceeds will go to the international work of the Al Abrigo De Dios orphanage in Cuernavaca, Mexico and the local efforts of Food Gatherers.
