Through artwork and an associated series of programs, Looking Both Ways seeks to raise awareness of contemporary Chinese Art. In an effort to foster and fuel discussion, dialogue and understanding, this exhibition of contemporary Chinese, Chinese American and American Art will bring together an international array of artists whose work examines issues ranging from societal and generational change, to personal narratives, to questions of geopolitics and political and economic control. The exhibition is co-sponsored by University of Michigan’s North Campus Research Complex (NCRC), who is serving as a host for part of the exhibition, and the Confucius Institute at University of Michigan.
