This exhibition included artwork made in response to Iceland. The show featured 22 artists, all of whom have spent time in Iceland on extended stays or artist residencies. The artists featured represent over 10 countries, with many artists from northern Europe and Canada. Work in the show draws parallels between recent events in Iceland and Detroit/United States (financial/banking crisis, natural disasters) and highlights a range of media from video to installation to photography and painting. Partners include the Cave Gallery at Russell Industrial Center in Detroit, which served as the host for part of the exhibition.

The exhibition was curated by EMU Associate Professor of Art Amy Sacksteder and EMU Gallery Director Greg Tom.
